Transfusion Update Conference 2017

TRANSFUSION UPDATE CONFERENCE 2017

Transfusion Update Conference 2017 will be held at Doltone House, Hyde Park, Sydney, on Thursday 27 April and Friday 28 April.

This year the event will run over one-and-a-half days and is proudly brought to you by the Blood Service and the Biomedical Excellence for Safer Transfusion (BEST) Collaborative.

And we're excited to announce that for the first time, two streams - clinical and donor - will now be available.

With more international speakers than any other year, don't miss the opportunity to hear from a stellar range of local and international experts showcasing the latest in transfusion practice and medicine.

Day 1: Clinical - Experts will present current transfusion evidence, how they manage patients, how they get the most benefit from a platelet, and how they teach and influence practice.

Day 1: Donor - Explore what motivates donors, the donation experience, optimising donor iron to ensure their health, as well as how donor factors can influence the blood product.

Day 2 - This half-day joint program provides an update on Pathogen reduction and inactivation technologies and practices from around the world, and will explore transfusion challenges.

Thank you to CSL Behring for their ongoing support and exclusive sponsorship of this event with an unrestricted educational grant.
