    The Blood Service's Research and Development Unit conducts research and technology evaluations that have the potential to improve blood product quality and safety, operational efficiency and donor well-being to deliver leading edge, high quality blood and blood products to improve patient outcomes.

    Learning outcomes:

    • Understand research to improve blood product quality, safety and operational efficiency.
    • Be aware of research in blood and blood products to improve patient outcomes.
