Dr Peta Dennington

Dr Peta Dennington is currently employed at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, based in Sydney, as Transfusion Medicine Specialist. She has worked for the Blood Service for nearly 25 years. Dr Dennington is the National Clinical Lead for Haemovigilance for the Blood Service and the National Clinical Lead for Product and Services, looking at the change management of the introduction of new blood components and services.
Her major interests include:
- Adverse reaction reporting and haemovigilance
- Clinical management of platelet refractoriness and alloimmunisation
- Clinical management of Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia
